Steve lives in the Wings of Hope home for physically and

mentally challenged children, outside of Port-au-Prince, Haiti.

He is estimated to be 9 years old since no record of his birth exists.

He likes to swim and play and is very hyperactive.

Our HS students have the opportunity to meet Steve during our annual Haiti mission. Students are eligible after their Junior year in HS to participate in this mission effort.

We sponsor Steve with $30 a month. This provides him with food, an education, immunizations, clothing, and a nurturing environment.

On the 3rd Sunday night of each month at our HS OFFBASE CELL teams, we take up a collection from the HS students for Steve. It is amazing how a few quarters from each student can add up to make a difference. Some students give more when they can.

$30 may not sound like much, many of us spend that much on coffee in a month or on a new video game or a pair of jeans.

But consider that over a billion people in the world live on less than $1 a day. They can literally live off of our spare change.

So $30 a month for Steve helps in ways we cannot see.

$1 goes alot farther in Haiti than it does in America.

We all can do more to make a difference.
